Disket Monasteries
When in Nubra Valley we visited the Disket Monastery and had an incredible time. The first group of photos are of the new monastery. The second group of photos are of the old monastery that was celebrated to be ten centuries old. When visiting we came upon monks doing a puja ceremony and were invited to sit with them. We weren't allowed to take photos but enjoyed their chanting for a short hour, and we shared some of their food that was blessed for the ceremony. Truly one of the most powerful experiences in India.
